Resumo: | In the present study, we analyzed the production and use of Comic Books (CS) in the classroom, during the development of a Didactic Sequence with students from the second year of High School of a state school, in Curitiba-PR, in the context of the Brazilian Teaching Initiation Scholarship Institutional Program (PIBID). Our research is qualitative participant, and its sources of data were undergraduate students’ records on the daily routine of the research, three CB produced by the High School students on the theme "chemical solutions" and answers to a questionnaire on the insertion of CB in Chemistry classes, which were analyzed through elements of the Content Analysis. The results indicated that the CB favored the conceptual, cognitive and socioeducative development in the classroom, therefore, it is a promising strategy to approach scientific concepts correlated to the students’ daily lives. |

The results indicated that the CB favored the conceptual, cognitive and socioeducative development in the classroom, therefore, it is a promising strategy to approach scientific concepts correlated to the students’ daily lives.No presente estudo, analisamos a elaboração e o emprego das Histórias em Quadrinhos (HQs) em sala de aula, durante o desenvolvimento de uma Sequência Didática com alunos do segundo ano do Ensino Médio de uma escola estadual de Curitiba/PR no contexto do Programa Institucional de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID). A pesquisa se configura como participante de caráter qualitativo. As fontes de dados foram os registros dos licenciandos sobre o cotidiano da pesquisa, as três HQs produzidas pelos estudantes sobre o tema “soluções”, e as respostas ao questionário sobre a inserção do material nas aulas de Química, as quais foram analisadas mediante elementos da Análise de Conteúdo. Os resultados indicaram que as HQs favoreceram o desenvolvimentoconceitual, cognitivo e socioeducativo em sala, além de ser uma estratégia promissora para a abordagem de conceitos científicos correlacionados ao cotidiano dos alunos.
