A blog in the CEFET-MG student´s daily life about solidary selective collection in a STS perspective

Resumo: The creation of a blog about “Solidary Selective Collection” aimed to develop teaching strategies in an STS perspective - science, technology and society, preparing students for citizenship, making it - the critics, reflective, responsible and able to make connections  with the world outside the school,. The stimulus for Selective Collection Projects  in Federal Universities is in accordance with the Federal Decree No. 5.940/06. Selective collection is an important issue in Environmental Education and is directly related to citizens' daily lives. In Brazil the National Curricular Parameters and the National Guidelines for Secondary Education (NCP) (Brazil 1999) emphasizes the contextualized teaching supported in student´s everyday life with meaningful to him. Although selective waste collection is a current theme, takes up little space in textbooks. To contribute in solving these problems, an educational blog about selective collection is being built by students under the teacher´s. Some features of this “in building” educational blog are: space for information on solid waste, selective collection and recycling, interactive activities such as games, competitions and photo galleries. The ability of the digital instrument to sensitize and mobilize the school community for a solidary selective collection is currently being evaluated.

The ability of the digital instrument to sensitize and mobilize the school community for a solidary selective collection is currently being evaluated.A criação de um blog para divulgar o programa de Coleta Seletiva Solidária nas Instituições Federais de ensino no Brasil teve como objetivo elaborar estratégias de ensino em uma perspectiva CTS – Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade, preparando os alunos para o exercício da cidadania, tornando-os críticos, reflexivos, responsáveis e capazes de fazerem conexões com o mundo. O estimulo ao desenvolvimento de projetos sobre Coleta Seletiva nas Instituições Federais de Ensino atende ao cumprimento de uma determinação federal do Decreto Lei nº 5.940/06. Coleta seletiva é um tema relevante dentro de Educação Ambiental e está diretamente ligado ao cotidiano dos cidadãos; porém ocupa pouco espaço nos livros didáticos. No Brasil os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais e as Diretrizes Nacionais para o Ensino Médio (PCN) enfatizam o ensino contextualizado no cotidiano do estudante e com significado para ele. Neste trabalho, um blog educativo sobre coleta seletiva está sendo construído pelos alunos, sob a supervisão dos professores. Algumas características deste blog são: espaço para informações sobre resíduos sólidos, coleta seletiva e reciclagem; jogos, competições e galerias de fotos.
