Research and teaching of mathematics: a didactic proposal for the development of Statistical content

Resumo: Studies indicate that most students face difficulties in the mathematics discipline. Thus, it is necessary to develop methodologies that contribute to the consolidation of student learning. In this sense, the objective of this paper is to evaluate a didactic proposal based on research as a pedagogical practice in the development of statistical content. The present study was carried out with 23 9th grade students from a school in the interior of Paraíba, being divided in different moments, such as division of study groups, seminars, bibliographic research, questionnaire elaboration, field class, data treatment. graphics elaboration, culmination and evaluation of the teaching proposal. The results of the field research showed that most of the interviewees are male, over 30 years old, live in the urban area, are beneficiaries of the Bolsa Familia and are satisfied with the free market in the city. Throughout the execution of the teaching proposal, the students were interested in the thematic approached. In general, the didactic proposal proved to be efficient and according to the speech of the students can contribute with their learning. Moreover, the moments of debate were important for the development of critical sense and the formation for the exercise of citizenship.

Assim, torna-se necessário o desenvolvimento de metodologias que contribuam para a consolidação da aprendizagem dos discentes. Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste trabalho é avaliar uma proposta didática a partir da investigação como prática pedagógica no desenvolvimento do conteúdo estatística. O presente estudo foi realizado com 23 estudantes do 9º ano de uma escola do interior da Paraíba, sendo dividido em diferentes momentos, tais como divisão de grupos de estudo, seminários, pesquisas bibliográficas, elaboração de questionário, aula de campo, tratamento de dados, elaboração de gráficos, culminância e avaliação da proposta de ensino. Os resultados da pesquisa de campo mostraram que a maioria dos entrevistados são do sexo masculino, possuem mais de 30 anos, residem na zona urbana, são beneficiários do bolsa família e estão satisfeitos em relação à feira livre da cidade. Durante toda execução da proposta de ensino, os alunos se interessaram pela temática abordada. De maneira geral, a proposta didática se mostrou eficiente e segundo a fala dos discentes pode contribuir com suas aprendizagens.
