Circus at school: education and art in Basic Education

Resumo: This article aims to present the circus manifestations in Basic Education in Brazil. The study adopted the exploratory research of multiple bibliographic and multimedia sources, analysed through Interpretive Analysis. The results shows much circus manifestations occur in Basic Education, carried out by artists, teacher s and art-educators. The results pointed out that professional artistic presentations; courses, workshops, conferences and others; Tours-Lessons; extracurricular projects and complementary activities do not constitute school knowledge because they are not articulate with the curriculum. However, pluri, inter and transdisciplinary projects, the curricular disciplines of the Circus, and teaching as a theme, content and didactic resource in the subjects make the Circus a school knowledge subject to the devices of the school institution and organization. Thus, this study seeks to value the diversity of actions, projects, activities, and people who seek to bring the Circus, its art and wisdom closer to Basic Education.

La investigación se realizó a través de múltiples fuentes (bibliográficas y multimedia) analizadas a través del Análisis Interpretativo. La investigación muestra muchas manifestaciones circenses que ocurren en la Educación Básica, realizadas por artistas, maestros y educadores de arte. Como resultados se señala que las presentaciones artísticas profesionales; cursos, talleres, conferencias etc., las Clase-Paseo, los proyectos extracurriculares y las actividades complementares no constituyen conocimiento escolar, porque no se articulan con los currículos. Sin embargo, los proyectos pluri-, inter- y transdisciplinarios; las disciplinas curriculares del Circo y la enseñanza como tema, contenido y recurso didáctico en las disciplinas, hacen del Circo un saber escolar sujeto a los dispositivos de la institución y organización escolar. Así, este estudio busca poner en valor la diversidad de acciones, proyectos, actividades y personas que buscan acercar el Circo, su arte y sus saberes, a la Educación Básica.O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar as manifestações circenses na Educação Básica. O estudo realizou a pesquisa exploratória em múltiplas fontes bibliográficas e multimídias, tratadas via Análise Interpretativa. Os resultados evidenciam muitas manifestações circenses acontecendo na Educação Básica, realizadas por artistas, professores e arte-educadores. Apresentações artísticas profissionais, cursos, oficinas, palestras etc., aulas-passeio e projetos extracurriculares e complementares não se constituem saberes escolares, pois não se articulam com currículos. Contudo, os projetos pluri, inter e transdisciplinares, disciplinas curriculares de Circo e o ensino como temática, conteúdo e recurso didático em disciplinas tornam o Circo um saber escolar sujeito aos dispositivos da instituição e organização escolar.
