Pedagogical prospects in academic spaces based on melodrama and Brazilian circus-theater

Resumo: This paper presents part of a doctoral research whose investigation focus is the creation process of the theatre play "Por Ti Não Importa Matar ou Morrer", a free adaptation of the work "Vem Buscar-me Que Ainda Sou Teu", by the author Carlos Alberto Soffredini, from the performance codes of French melodrama and the elements of circus arts, performed in the Theater Course at the Federal University of Uberlândia in 2015. For the analysis of this process, acting references of Brazilian circus-theater were used, considering the trajectory of Circo-Teatro Guaraciaba. This article contextualizes the ways in which the theater became part of circuses in Brazil in order to support the understanding of artistic and pedagogical experiences and to establish a dialogue between the history of 19th century French melodrama and the 20th century Brazilian circus-theater, evidenced through reflections about the learning ways of the old guard circus performers and young actresses and actors from universities.

Para el análisis de este proceso se utilizaron las referencias del espectáculo circense-teatral brasileño, tomando como recorte la trayectoria del Circo-Teatro Guaraciaba. El artículo contextualiza las formas en que el teatro pasó a formar parte de los circos en Brasil para apoyar la comprensión de las experiencias artísticas y pedagógicas, y trazar un diálogo entre la historia del melodrama francés del siglo XIX y los circo-teatros brasileños del siglo XX, evidenciado a través de reflexiones sobre las formas de aprendizaje de los artistas circenses de la vieja guardia y de las jóvenes actrices y actores en las universidades.Este artigo apresenta parte de uma pesquisa doutoral cujo foco de investigação é o processo de criação do espetáculo Por Ti Não Importa Matar ou Morrer, uma livre adaptação de Vem Buscar-me Que Ainda Sou Teu, de Carlos Alberto Soffredini, a partir dos códigos de atuação do melodrama francês e de elementos das artes circenses, realizado no Curso de Teatro da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia em 2015. Para a análise desse processo, foram utilizadas as referências de atuação do circo-teatro brasileiro, tomando como recorte a trajetória do Circo-Teatro Guaraciaba.
