The use of sketchbook to record the bilro lace artisan knowledge: reporting an experience

Resumo: This article aimed to report how the sketchbook can be used as a tool for recording information about the artisan community of the Rio Vermelho community in the city of Florianópolis (BR). For this, in the collection of research data, interviews with visits to the community were used. To form the body of knowledge, a narrative and unsystematic bibliographic review was used. Methodologically, this article can be understood as applied, qualitative, descriptive and field research. From the experience report presented, it appears that, different that the use of the sketchbook in the phase of project ideation in the work of designers and artists, as indicated by the investigated literature, the tool can also be used as an instrument for recording and documenting textual and visual information about the artisan knowledge of bobbin lace. It was also concluded that the sketchbook can be relevant as a source of documentary research and as a tool to safeguard how to produce artisanal contemporary artifacts.

Para la recolección de datos de la investigación se utilizaron entrevistas con visitas a la comunidade. Para la formación del cuerpo de conocimiento, se utilizó una revisión BEIRÃO; CORRÊA; BABINSKI, Uso, 2021, v. 5 n. 2, ISSN 2594-4630, pp. 102 - 123 104bibliográfica narrativa y asistemática. Metodológicamente, puede entenderse este artículo como una investigación aplicada, cualitativa, descriptiva y de campo. La experiencia presentada demuestra que, de manera diferente a la literatura investigada, la herramienta puede ser utilizada como instrumento de registro y documentación de imágenes e textos sobre el conocimiento artesanal del Encaje de bolillos. También se llegó a la conclusión de que el sketchbook puede ser relevante como fuente de investigación documental y como medio para salvaguardar la elaboración de artefactos artesanales contemporáneos.  Este artigo tem como objetivo relatar o uso do sketchbook como ferramenta para o registro de informações da comunidade artesã do bairro Rio Vermelho, na cidade de Florianópolis (SC). Para tanto, na etapa de coleta de dados da pesquisa, foram feitas entrevistas com visitas à comunidade e, na etapa de formação do corpo de conhecimento, utilizou-se uma revisão bibliográfica narrativa e assistemática. Metodologicamente, este artigo pode ser compreendido como uma pesquisa aplicada, qualitativa, descritiva e de campo. A partir do relato de experiência apresentado, infere-se que, diferentemente do que indica a literatura investigada, o sketchbook pode ser usado não somente na fase de ideação projetual no trabalho de designers e artistas, mas também no registro e na documentação de informações imagéticas e textuais acerca dos saberes artesanais da Renda de Bilro.
