Resumo: | The text presents a visual analysis of a shop window of United Colors of Benetton store to investigate its communicational role in view of the aesthetic dimension of fashion. From the material constitution of the shop window, words and images are analyzed as elements that are related to the object of clothing and that allude to the metaphor of language. The text approach discusses the understanding of visual representations in the field of fashion and moves to the debate of ideology through semiotic studies. |

De la constitution matérielle de la vitrine, les mots et les images sont analysés comme des éléments qui se rapportent à l’objet du vêtement et qui font allusion à la métaphore du langage. L’approche cherche à discuter de la compréhension des représentations visuelles dans le champ de la mode et comprend le débat sur l’idéologie à travers des études sémiotiques.O texto apresenta uma análise visual de uma vitrine de uma loja da marca United Colors of Benetton com o objetivo de investigar seu papel comunicacional tendo em vista a dimensão estética da moda. A partir da constituição material da vitrine, palavras e imagens são analisadas como elementos que se relacionam ao objeto do vestuário e que aludem à metáfora da linguagem.
