Resumo: | The use of the Gramscian concept of subalternity by the group of Subaltern Studies has unfoldings which differ from the revolutionary bases of the Philosophy of Praxis because, by adhering to postmodern trends and “postcolonial” theories, they contribute to reinforcing the questions about Karl Marx’s legitimacy to contribute to the debate on the relationship between exploitation and oppression in colonialism, especially in Latin America. Thus, this article seeks to resume the contributions of Marx, Antonio Gramsci, and the historical elements that condense the place of the Philosophy of Praxis against colonialism, racism, and the forms taken by subalternity in class society, such as the ‘southern issue’ pointed out by Gramsci, as well as the contribution of organic intellectuals who help in the task of Latin American translatability, especially in Brazil, which stems from an understanding of particular and contemporary contradictions that point to socio-historical possibilities of organization and the making of becoming. |
