Ofélia's life itineraries: a management teacher who defended the public school in the military dictatorship

Resumo: This research aims at the life story of a mountain woman who in the military civil dictatorship faced local oligarchies instigating the construction of the first public elementary school II - former basilar. Qualitative, in the biographical approach, it focuses on the life story of a woman-educator who made her own story. As methodological procedures for data collection were used: interviews with colleagues, community leaders, mothers of students; conversation circles with former students; document analysis, minutes / books where she worked, photographs, newspapers, textbooks used by her. This educator is considered important for her political-pedagogical performance, teacher-manager in the awakening of critical awareness, seeking improvement in the quality of life from formal, non-formal, informal education and exercised tutoring action with student-workers investing in self-regulation of learning. The analysis shows Ofélia's boldness as a woman manager whose identity is linked to the initiative to promote innovative social changes based on education.

De cunho qualitativo, na abordagem biográfica, tem foco na história de vida de uma mulher-educadora que fez sua própria história. Como procedimentos metodológicos para coleta de dados foram utilizados: entrevistas com colegas, líderes comunitários, mães de alunos; rodas de conversa com ex-alunos; análise documental, atas/livros de onde atuou, fotografias, jornais, livros didáticos utilizados por ela. Essa educadora é considerada importante por sua atuação política-pedagógica, professora-gestora no despertar da consciência crítica, buscando melhoria na qualidade de vida a partir da educação formal, não formal, informal e exerceu ação tutoria com educandos-trabalhadores investindo na autor-regulação da aprendizagem.
