Resumo: | This article studies Women and their Education through reading Corimbo, a newspaper that for 60 years circulated in the port city of Rio Grande, under the ownership and direction of two women. Corimbo made available to readers from trivial occurrences to important facts such as: abolition, change of political regime, civil war and world wars, fallen labor, Feminism, Positivism, the binomial Education & Instruction in the light of concepts from France. In Brazil, Positivism extended to the state of Rio Grande do Sul and to military Rio de Janeiro, in the 1980s and the beginning of the Republic, under the indoctrination of the radical positivist of Júlio Prates de Castilhos. |

O Corimbo disponibilizou aos leitores desde ocorrências triviais a fatos importantes como: abolição, mudança de regime político, guerra civil e guerras mundiais, mão de obra tombada, Feminismo, Positivismo, o binômio Educação & Instrução à luz de conceitos oriundos da França.
