Pedagogical praxis of confronting racism in high school

Resumo: The present work brings an experience report that has racial discrimination as a central issue in a regular high school in the state network of Ceará and the difficulties faced by teachers in dealing with the issue in their pedagogical practices. Having as guiding elements a set of didactic activities present in an Action Plan with the purpose of confronting the different forms of manifestation of racial discrimination in the school space, built from the case study, action-research, ethnography and bibliographical research. The practices were planned and developed based on the students' behavioral dynamics. Thus, this work aimed to act on the educational space proposing teaching-learning procedures and recognition of Afro-Brazilian culture, creating an understanding of respect and appreciation of diversity among students.

Tendo como elementos norteadores um conjunto de atividades didáticas presentes em um Plano de Ação com a finalidade de enfrentar as diversas formas de manifestação da discriminação racial no espaço escolar, construído a partir do estudo de caso, pesquisa-ação, etnografia e pesquisa bibliográfica. As práticas foram planejadas e desenvolvidas baseando-se na dinâmica comportamental dos estudantes.
