Dance in the water: academic research as educational praxis

Resumo: Contact with water can awaken different psychophysical states in the body and expand possibilities for recognizing cognitive and affective capacities, in addition to tearing up devices for artistic creation. The research group Dramaturgia do Corpoespaço, from the Federal University of Ceará, has been dedicating itself to the studies of Dance in Water. In this way, we ask ourselves: What foundations in different areas of knowledge can inspire this artistic research on the states of water in the body? Guided by this question and inserted in the academic context, we outline our studies in Dance, the language of Art, enabling our doing in relation of educational praxis. This article aims to share this initial investigation process, which comprises a survey of bibliographic materials to identify existing productions in this area in Brazil. That said, we carried out an immersion on Canoé beach, in Fortim, Ceará, to experience the aesthetic possibilities in the body of this relationship between dance and water.

O grupo de pesquisa Dramaturgia do Corpoespaço, da Universidade Federal do Ceará, vem se dedicando aos estudos de Dança na Água. Dessa forma, nos questionamos: Que fundamentos em distintas áreas de conhecimento podem inspirar essa pesquisa artística acerca dos estados da água no corpo? Norteados por essa questão e inseridos no contexto acadêmico delineamos nossos estudos em Dança, linguagem da Arte, possibilitando nosso fazer numa relação de práxis educativa. O presente artigo visa compartilhar esse processo inicial de investigação, que compreende um levantamento de materiais bibliográficos para identificar produções já existentes nessa área, no Brasil.
