Anti-Racist Pedagogical Practices in Basic Education: the Experience of Professor José Superira de Amorim School of the Municipal Network of Fortaleza

Resumo: The current report presents the experience lived during the Belezas Negras Project, developed at Escola Professor José Sobreira de Amorim, a school in the municipal education network in Fortaleza, from August to November 2019. It presents a section of the activities conducted with the 2nd year classes, although the actions of valorization and promotion of African History and Afro-Brazilian Culture, were developed in the classes of Infantil V until the 5th year of Elementary School I. The project contemplates Law No. 10.639/2003, sanctioned by the then President of the Republic Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, which makes the teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture mandatory in the official curriculum. For the writing of this work, we used the theoretical framework that deals with the pedagogic curriculum in the school context (PETIT, 2015); as well as on empowerment (BERTH, 2019). In short, it was observed that the project throughout its development has contributed to promote reflection and the recovery of black identity, in addition to providing the insertion of African history in the routine of this school.

Apresenta um recorte das atividades realizadas com as turmas do 2º ano, embora as ações de valorização e promoção da História Africana e Cultura Afrobrasileira, tenham sido desenvolvidas nas turmas do Infantil V até o 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental I. O projeto contempla a Lei n° 10.639/2003, sancionada pelo então Presidente da República Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, que torna obrigatório o Ensino da História e Cultura Afro-brasileira e Africana no currículo oficial. Para a escrita deste trabalho recorreu-se ao referencial teórico que trata do currículo pretagógico no contexto escolar (PETIT, 2015); bem como, sobre empoderamento (BERTH, 2019).
