The importance of school for children in a monoparental family context

Resumo: The school and the family are presented as two fundamental institutions in the child's life trajectory. The first as a space in which various social experiences take place, the second internally as a privileged place for welcoming and psychosocial protection of its members, and externally, as accommodation to a culture and its transmission. The main objective of this work is to analyze the role of the school and the family in the child's development, in its cognitive, affective and social aspects. And in this way to identify the influence of the monoparental family composition on child development. From experiences with a class of 20 (twenty) students, in a Public School of the Municipal Teaching Network of Quixadá. The presented report concludes that 80% (eighty percent) of the students, come from single-parent families or reconstituted families and that public policies need to increasingly focus on this public.

A primeira como um espaço no qual se dão várias experiências sociais, a segunda a nível interno como lugar privilegiado de acolhimento e proteção psicossocial dos seus membros, e de nível externo, como a acomodação a uma cultura e sua transmissão. O presente trabalho tem como objetivo central analisar o papel da escola e da família no desenvolvimento da criança, em seus aspectos cognitivos, afetivos e sociais. E desse modo identificar a influência da composição familiar monoparental sobre o desenvolvimento infantil. A partir de vivências realizadas com uma turma de 20 (vinte) alunos, em uma Escola Pública da Rede Municipal de Ensino de Quixadá.
