Resumo: The main objective of the article was to describe and investigate through the narratives of fifteen children of kindergarten V "B" in a Child Education Center - CEC - about what they like most and least at school. The data collection was carried out in October and November 2019, before the Coronavirus pandemic (covid-19). The methodological procedure inspired by Passeggi and Lani-Bayle (2014), Conti and Passeggi (2014) and Furlanetto (2014), that is, the protocol of the alien-shaped doll that visits the school and "talks" to the children. Thus, it was possible to think about the childhood experienced by them at school, making clear the importance of sensitive listening to the children's formative process so that there are possibilities of modification in teaching practices where the teacher considers what the child says in his learning process.

A coleta de dados foi realizada nos meses de outubro e novembro de 2019, antes da pandemia do Coronavírus (covid-19). O procedimento metodológico inspirado em Passeggi e Lani-Bayle (2014), Conti e Passeggi (2014) e Furlanetto (2014), ou seja, o protocolo do boneco em forma de extraterrestre que visita a escola e “conversa” com as crianças.
