Initiation to teaching: narratives of teachers

Resumo: The teaching of history is essential in the formation of the nursing professional and the historical roots, considering the understanding of the insertion of this profession in society. Through this study, we sought to analyze the paths that led the nursing professional to enter the teaching profession in the Nursing Course of the State University of Ceará - UECE, in its origin, in the São Vicente de Paulo School of Nursing - EESVP. The investigative methodological weaving was expressed in the qualitative approach, resorting to the use of the historical research method, comprised of the stages of data collection, organization, problematization, and critical evaluation.  In the study, it was deduced from the oral sources, by means of the interviews carried out in the study in which five professors of History of Nursing who teached the subject in the course brought their contributions to concretize the investigation. It was found that the paths for initiation into teaching were diverse and in the non-linear search for training they became History teachers.

Por meio deste estudo, buscou-se analisar os caminhos que levaram o profissional de enfermagem a adentrar à docência no Curso de Enfermagem da Universidade Estadual do Ceará – UECE, na sua origem, na Escola de Enfermagem São Vicente de Paulo – EESVP. A tessitura metodológica investigativa foi expressa na abordagem qualitativa, recorrendo à utilização do método de pesquisa histórica, compreendido pelas etapas de coleta, organização, problematização e avaliação crítica dos dados.  No estudo depreendeu-se das fontes orais, por meio das entrevistas realizadas no estudo em que cinco professoras de História da Enfermagem que ministraram/ministram a disciplina no curso trouxeram suas colaborações para  concretizar a investigação.
