Resumo: The showing article provides an analysis of the timeline as a device of self learning and learning improvement about itself and the teaching work, used in a doctoral research in education defended in june 2021. Anchored on methodological pre-supposed concepts in self learning (JOSSO, 20104), coming from life histories. Founded in the tripolar movement of self, hetero and eco learning (PINEAU, 2010), the device evoked senses and the fertility from lived experiences, considering established relationships between individuals, spaces, times and contexts wich promoted learnings about teaching. Concluding that the timeline reveals itself as an important reflection instrument by provoking a self-observation, the exercise of distance and the conscious attention to memory references (JOSSO, 2010), producing formative effects in itself.

Ancorou-se nos pressupostos metodológicos da Pesquisa-formação (JOSSO, 2010), veio das Histórias de Vida. Fundado no movimento tripolar de auto, hetero e ecoformação (PINEAU, 2010), o dispositivo evocou sentidos e a fertilidade das experiências vividas, considerando as relações estabelecidas entre sujeitos, espaços, tempos e contextos que promoveram aprendizagens sobre a docência.
