The Sobrado Canela Preta: memory and education in the city of Icó-CE

Resumo: | The object of this article seeks to analyze the relationship between memory and education, taking as a reference the Sobrado Canela Preta located in the Municipality of Icó-Ce. In 2005, the space began to house a Music Center, being identified as an educational space. The debate had as main references Nora (1993), discussing training and educational places, Bosi (2003) dealing with the formation of identity from memory, in addition to the material produced by IPHAN with important contributions to the history of the townhouse. The analysis was based on a qualitative research approach, using exploratory research as a reference to map the history of Sobrado Canela Preta. In the analysis phase of the selected material, we identified few productions on the historical memory of space and its relationship with the city. |

No ano de 2005 o espaço passa a abrigar um Núcleo de Música passando a ser identificado como espaço educativo. O debate teve como principais referências Nora (1993), discutindo sobre lugares formativos e educativos, Bosi (2003) tratando sobre a formação da identidade a partir da memória, além do material produzido pelo IPHAN com importantes contribuições sobre a história do sobrado. A análise se baseou em uma abordagem de pesquisa qualitativa, usando a pesquisa exploratória como referência para mapear a história do Sobrado Canela Preta.
