Reflections on the History of Pinocchio and the Rights of Children

Resumo: | This research lists the narrative of the Pinocchio doll who wanted to be a real child and the rights of children. Through the studies of Philippe Ariès (2006) it is possible to notice that children were seen as miniature adults. With the emergence of rights in 1959, when the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the document in which are the universal rights of children, here in Brazil in 1990 the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA) was regulated. As we can see in the Pinocchio narrative, the character had na an enormous desire to study and this happens to several children who are unable to perform essential tasks in the childhood phase. This is the result of several social and economic factors. Although they have laws that in theory allow your rights are met, in practice it takes a contrary and negative position. |

Através dos estudos de Philippe Ariès (2006) é possível notar que as crianças eram vistas como adultos em miniatura. Com o surgimento dos direitos no ano de 1959, onde a Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas proclamou o documento no qual segue os direitos universais das crianças, aqui no Brasil em 1990, foi regulamentado o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA). Como observamos na narrativa do Pinóquio, o personagem tinha um enorme desejo de estudar e desta forma ocorre com várias crianças que são impossibilitadas de realizarem tarefas essenciais da fase infantil. Isto acontece por consequência de diversos fatores sociais e econômicos.
