The invisibility of racial ethnic issues in the initial training of teachers

It is considered that the field of teacher training is still based on Eurocentric biases, which implies the exclusion of a plurality of knowledge in curriculum, so that it highlights the relevance of bringing to the discussion themes still invisible in the formation of teachers, such as ethnic-racial relations. Thus, the research aims to reflect on the invisibility of themes about ethnic-racial relations in undergraduate courses, as well as to identify the challenges arising from this absence in the performance of teachers. For this, the methodology adopted was a bibliographic and participant research. In this sense, it is understood that for a social and epistemic transformation to occur, it permeates the training of teachers, which is central to the construction of an anti-racist education, and with regard to the transformation of universities requires change in the way it is structured, that is, in its organization and curriculum adopted.
