Resumo: | The experience in the academic environment is complex from the moment of enrollment. For indigenous people, it becomes even more challenging as they need to move from their community to another city to attend a university in pursuit of their dreams, while also adapting to new realities, cultures, and ways of life. Therefore, the discussion presents a research conducted on the experience of an indigenous academic, a researcher and reporter at the university, addressing the following question: What are the challenges faced in including the indigenous academic in the Pedagogy course at UFOPA, Campus Óbidos? The research aims to understand how the inclusion of the indigenous academic occurs in the Pedagogy course at the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA). The research is characterized as qualitative, with a bibliographical approach, reporting on the experience of the indigenous academic at UFOPA. The investigation procedures included a semi-structured interview with three subjective base questions with the indigenous academic, as well as bibliographical support. |

Para os indígenas, torna-se ainda mais difícil a partir do momento em que é necessário deslocar-se de sua comunidade até outra cidade para ingressar em uma universidade em busca de seus sonhos, além de se adaptar a novas realidades, culturas e modos. Dessa forma, a discussão apresenta uma pesquisa realizada sobre a vivência de uma acadêmica indígena, pesquisadora-relatora na universidade, problematizando: Quais os desafios enfrentados na inclusão da acadêmica indígena no curso de Pedagogia da UFOPA, Campus Óbidos. A pesquisa tem como objetivo geral compreender como acontece a inclusão da acadêmica indígena no curso de Pedagogia na Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (UFOPA). A pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa, de caráter bibliográfico, relatando a experiência da acadêmica indígena na UFOPA.
