Teacher training for new practices in teaching law

Resumo: The pandemic context, which established social distancing, demanded from the teacher a redefinition of their pedagogical practice, with the application of active methodologies to the learning process, abandoning the formal rigor of traditionally expository classes. The objective of the research is to verify how teacher training for the insertion of new practices into the educational process impacts legal education, using documentary and bibliographic research as a methodology, with a qualitative approach. Based on the data analyzed, there was a need for teacher preparation, at the postgraduate level, to work in higher education, since, in their basic training in Law, they were not given the opportunity to study the fundamentals of pedagogical practice, didactics, the teaching-learning process and assessment. Hence the importance of continuing education, so that teachers can update themselves on new teaching methodologies.

O objetivo da pesquisa é verificar como a formação docente para inserção de novas práticas ao processo educacional impacta o ensino jurídico, utilizando-se, como metodologia, a pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, com abordagem qualitativa. A partir dos dados analisados, verificou-se a necessidade de preparação do professor, em nível de pós-graduação, para atuar no ensino superior, uma vez que, em sua formação básica em Direito, não lhe foi oportunizado estudar os fundamentos da prática pedagógica, da didática, do processo de ensino-aprendizagem e da avaliação.
