Resumo: The general objective of this article is to investigate the adaptation of employer companies to the confidentiality of personal and sensitive data of their employees to the General Data Protection Law (LGPD). Therefore, the deductive method was used, based on bibliographic and documentary research. By way of contextualization, a historical tour was undertaken on data protection at the international and national levels. Among the conclusions reached, we highlight the relevance of using labor compliance programs, which have a preventive character against regulatory violations, in addition to promoting the observance of ethics in the corporate culture; as a form of well-structured employer adaptation to the LGPD.

Para tanto, utilizou-se o método dedutivo, fundamentado por meios de pesquisa bibliográfico e documental. A título de contextualização, empreendeu-se digressão história acerca da proteção de dados nos planos internacional e nacional.
