The genre biography as a journalistic and pedagogical resource

Resumo: The present study aims to demonstrate that the Biography genre can be worked in the classroom as another pedagogical didactic resource in Basic Education. The  search consists of theoretical foundations on textual genres, knowledge about Biography, specifically mentioning Modal Biography. As for the methodology, a bibliographic research is used. Studies on biographical knowledge with the authors Jacques Le Goff, Giovanni Levi, François Cadiou and François Dosse are approached, and with the theme of textual genres the authors Magda Soares and Marchuschi. The aim of this study is to demonstrate the understanding of biographical work so that students understand the importance of researching the life of a citizen, knowing the life story of a famous personality or not. It is noteworthy that from the Biography genre, other genres can be worked in the classroom, namely, Documentary, and thus expand the student's repertoire of knowledge.

A pesquisa é constituída de fundamentação teórica sobre gêneros textuais, conhecimento sobre Biografia, a citar especificamente a Biografia Modal. Quanto à metodologia é utilizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica. Aborda-se estudos sobre conhecimentos biográficos com os autores Jacques Le Goff, Giovanni Levi, François Cadiou e François Dosse, e com a temática sobre gêneros textuais os autores Magda Soares e Marchuschi. Pretende-se com este estudo demonstrar a compreensão do fazer biográfico para que os discentes compreendam a importância de pesquisar a vida de um cidadão, conhecer a história de vida de uma personalidade famosa ou não.
