Resumo: The present work aims to present the advances regarding the eradication of child labor throughout international and national history and the setbacks that occurred during the Bolsonaro government. The methodological procedure took place through a bibliographic review that analyzed the main works on the subject, verified the legislation and carried out analyzes of speeches of the current president of Brazil. The verified results verified the failure in relation to the goal of eradicating Child Labor and reflected the risk of many more children in our country entering this exploitation in even worse conditions than previously observed in the nation's history.

O procedimento metodológico ocorreu por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica que analisou os principais trabalhos acerca do tema, verificou as legislações e realizou análises de discursos do atual presidente do Brasil.
