Resumo: | Paulo Freire (1921-1997) created a revolutionary literacy method in which the learners would assimilate the object of study based on their experiences, his life experiences, that is, his reality. The theory of Freire is an opposition to an education he called banking, technical and alienating. On the other hand, the Bolsonaro government did not spare criticism, unfounded comments, questioning Freirean teaching. With this in mind, this article aims to understand about this phenomenon, seeking to analyze the motivation of the government elected in 2018 in demoralizing and defaming an anti-fascist philosophy. Thus, the reflections presented here present subsidies for discussions and possibilities of changes in the Brazilian reality. |

A teoria de Freire vai em contraposição a uma educação, por ele denominada bancária, tecnicista e alienante. Em contrapartida, o governo Bolsonaro não poupou críticas, comentários infundados, questionando o ensino freiriano. Pensando nisso, este artigo visa refletir acerca desse fenômeno, buscando analisar a motivação do governo eleito em 2018 em desmoralizar e difamar uma filosofia antifascista.
