Resumo: Abstract This study aims to reflect on the teaching of Zoology, focused on the knowledge of biodiversity and the conservation of marine life in Elementary School, articulating didactic playful activities, such as games and comics, and focusing on museums as spaces of research and scientific dissemination. In this context, the museum educational potential was mobilized in dialogues with the school, observing whether the connection between the museum's exhibits and biological collections and the children's previous knowledge can constitute ways to enrich science teaching. To work with these themes, we applied classes on "Marine Life" and "Marine Biodiversity present in Museums", in the remote teaching model, held with 4th and 5th grade classes of a municipal school in Niterói/RJ, through the Zoom teaching platform, as part of a university extension project of a public university.   Keywords: Elementary School; Teaching Zoology; Museums; Marine Life; Scientific Dissemination.

Desse modo, o potencial educativo dos museus foi mobilizado em diálogos com a escola, observando se a conexão entre as exposições e coleções biológicas dos museus e os conhecimentos prévios trazidos pelas crianças pode se constituir em caminhos para enriquecer o ensino de Ciências.
