Resumo: Black-oral literatures corroborate the construction of Brazilian identities, especially with regard to the representation of Bahian identity, they are one of the riches found in Jorge Amado's literature. The Work O Compadre de Ogum brings with it essential identity representations for understanding the influence of black myths on the Brazilian social body. In it, Jorge Amado demonstrates, through the candomblé myths in the lives of subjects / initiates, the continuity of black identities, and does so in a narrative based on humor and syncretism. Thus, the present article, based on the reflections of scholars like Stuart Hall (2014), Luiz Silva (2010), consists of an analysis of black identities and their representations through the Ojuaruá family, a family with complex identities and. However, the narrative demonstrates how we are all, fictional or real characters, immersed in the mythological context of the orixás. The representation of the orixás' poetics and their identities, in O Compadre de Ogum, allows us to study devices that present themselves as traces of denunciation of religious racism, as well as allowing us to analyze that life is in confluence with black-religious mythology. Therefore, it is discussed about representations and identities of black characters in their forms and movements in the society represented by Amadian literature.
