Lexical Referencing in texts of deaf students in the final years of Elementary School

Resumo: This article discusses issues in reading, writing and lexical referencing for deaf students at Elementary School II, through a proposal of activities elaborated under the light of Bilingual teaching that starts from the natural language of the deaf, Libras, and moves towards the development of reading, writing and lexical referencing in Portuguese as L2 based on the book Currupira surdo (Deaf Curupira). The theoretical framework of this work relies on Capovilla (2000), Honora, Frizanco, (2008), Trevisan, Carregari (2011), Sá (2011), Rocha (2008), Grannier (2014); Cavalcante (2013); Cavalcante, Rodrigues and Ciulla (2003); Marcuschi (2008) and Solé (1998). The proposal was applied in the city of Rio Branco - AC, at the Youth and Adult Education Center - CEJA with students enrolled in the final years / grades of Elementary School, in November 2018. We use elaborate activities to provide students with development of comprehension and writing skills of the Portuguese language as L2, for this we started from a video of the folk legend Curupira in Libras, after which we used images of folkloric manifestations to contextualize the theme and then we presented the video in Libras from the book Currupira surdo (Deaf Curupira). Afterwards, we applied several activities to develop the lexical reference and mainly the reading and writing of the deaf in Portuguese.

A fundamentação teórica desse trabalho como Capovilla (2000), Honora, Frizanco, (2008), Trevisan, Carregari (2011), Sá (2011), Rocha (2008), Grannier (2014); Cavalcante (2013); Cavalcante, Rodrigues e Ciulla (2003); Marcuschi (2008) e Solé (1998). A proposta foi aplicada na cidade de Rio Branco – AC, no Centro de Educação de Jovens e Adultos – CEJA com alunos matriculados nos anos/séries finais do Ensino Fundamental, em novembro de 2018. Utilizamos atividades de elaboradas para proporcionar ao aluno o desenvolvimento de habilidades de compreensão e escrita da Língua Portuguesa como L2, para isso partimos de um vídeo da lenda folclórica Curupira em Libras.
