Social progress index and fashion transparency index: a comparative analysis

Resumo: Considering that the Sustainable Development (SD) attempts to understand the interaction between economy, society and the physical environment of the Earth, and that the fashion industry has intensified its concerns with the subject, this paper aims to analyze the relationship between the Social Progress Index (SPI) and the Fashion Transparency Index (FTI) released in 2018, based on SD. Therefore, it is an exploratory research, with a qualitative approach, conducted through a bibliographic research and documentary search. Thus, we noticed that the data and methodologies of both indices have strong correlation and potential development, while institutional and social measures are still necessary to promote transparency and social progress.

Portanto, trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa, realizada por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica e busca documental.
