Resumo: This work is a brief historical study of the Kariri Indians – including their myths, legends and pottery art fragments – in addition to the bibliographic and visual research of typographic characters. The methodology is based on the research of development of types and the observation of photos of indigenous objects took at the Memorial do Homem Kariri in Northeast Brazil. The creative process includes drafting and sketching, thus resulting in the design of a digital typeface.
