Resumo: This article proposes to present the patternmaking techniques used in the construction of the padded bra and the application of breasts’ anthropometry in the product design. The study presents an investigation of theoretical references on the subject, combined with field research, carried out through individual semi-structured interviews, which point out to clothing construction strategies, used by professional pattern makers in the underwear segment, to achieve the best fit of the garment.
