These paper objective work to carry through an analysis of testimonies of responsible photographic reporters for coverings of relative substances the slum quarters throughout the decades of 60 and 70. The interest of this reflection inhabits in the interpretation of the representations concerning the slum quarters in this period, such which constructed by responsible actors for the elaboration of referring speeches to these spaces before the society, in the case, the photojournalistic speech. Also they will be boarded referring aspects to the paper of the media in this process of construction, from the photographic reporter, and propagation of speeches, as well as the hierarchic relations and its influence in the dynamics of the process.
