Resumo: This work is part of my current line of research focused on the study of the Church in modern Spain as a social institution and power and, in particular of the monastery of San Jeronimo de Cordoba Valparaiso, which I have started a case study precisely because the inquiry, redemption and valuation of one of the most outstanding, rich and few significant accumulated and provided documentary traces the Jeromes Cordoba, namely: Its called “Protocol” or book “Tumbo”. The formal analysis and above all this great content is private church documents the vital center of this contribution. His information on assets, income novice real protection, relations with various institutions in the city, pious foundations and creation, expansion and maintenance of the monastery, are definitely necessary to meet economic, social, politically and culturally to Valparaiso, born, Indeed, very early in the fifteenth century, maintained until the first confiscation and important nineteenth-century as a genuine example of the Iberian Order to which he belonged.

El análisis formal y sobre todo de contenido de esta excelente documentación eclesiástica privada constituye el centro fundamental de esta aportación. Sus informaciones sobre patrimonio, ingresos de novicios, protección real, relaciones con distintas instituciones de la ciudad, fundaciones piadosas y creación, ampliación y sostenimiento del monasterio, son sin duda indispensables para conocer económica, social, política y culturalmente a Valparaíso, nacido, por cierto, muy a principios del Cuatrocientos, mantenido hasta la primera desamortización decimonónica e importante ejemplo de la tan genuina Orden ibérica a que pertenecía.Este trabalho faz parte da minha atual linha de pesquisa focada no estudo da Igreja na Espanha moderna como instituição social e de poder e, em particular, no mosteiro de São Jerônimo de Córdoba, Valparaíso, onde iniciei um estudo de caso porque da consulta, resgate e valorização de um dos documentos acumulados mais destacados, ricos e significativos fornecidos pelos Jerônimos, Córdoba: o chamado “Protocolo” ou livro “Tumbo”. A análise formal e principalmente do conteúdo de documentos particulares da igreja é o cerne desta contribuição.
