Resumo: This article suggests some discussions about the violence as a theme in literature and other contemporary narratives. I try to address an issue involving body relations, senses and their representations in narratives where the theme is violence. In order to provide sustainability for the discussions I analyze El escritor y el outro (2007), by an Uruguayan writer Carlos Liscano, together with the Brazilian anthropologist Alba Zaluar, with her studies about violence.
