Resumo: In this paper we discuss some aspects of the myth and his development since the ancient times till now. We present some studies about literary genders in which we can observe some aspects of the mythical thought. Finally we analyze a short story in which are evident some features of the "mythologization" observed in the modern fiction.

Primeiramente, procuraremos refazer a trajetória do mito desde a antiguidade até os tempos modernos, observando as modificações ocorridas nesse percurso. Tentaremos também detectar os possíveis fatores que motivaram essas transformações. Em seguida, abordaremos alguns estudos acerca de gêneros literários nos quais se pode perceber a permanência de alguns aspectos do pensamento mítico.
