Resumo: The proposal of this essay is to reflect, through a reading of “O Inferno de Wall Street”, from Joaquim de Sousândrade, New York, the main metropolis of the capitalism power, as a hell-city, where Sousândrade-Guesa - a symbol of the excluded from yesterday and today, of the miserable, the dislocated, the wretch, the loser - is killed by the bears of the Stock Exchange. He is a bare life, a life that may be killed but not sacrificed, a homo sacer, someone that, as Jacques Rancière said, saw an unsustainable view, and, after that, will never be reconciled with the representation world again.
