Resumo: This article aims to delineate the work, social and racial relations that exist in the works of Monteiro Lobato destinated for children, denominated as Sítio do Picapau Amarelo. We are going to have as base the perspective that we can find elements of the Brazilian social thinking of the 1920s and 1930s, when happened the divulgation and composition of the work.
