Resumo: | The article analyzes the existence of relationships between financial and non-financial companies that donated financial contributions to the presidential campaigns between 2002 and 2014 and the degree to which they operate in the Brazilian public debt bond market and in the movement of BNDES resources in each presidential term. By articulating primary research, using official government sources, and Social Network Analysis, with the centrality metrics degree and betweenness, the article presents tables and sociograms, allowing the analysis of private financing of electoral campaigns as a process of dispute for hegemony by the ruling class. It identifies Banco Itaú Unibanco as part of the class fraction representing the large financial capital and as an important political and economic agent in the investigated presidential elections and in the subsequent governments. |
