“Not Everything Is Lost, Not Everything Is Bad”: The Articulations of the Vozes da Rua Collective to Confront the Covid-19 Pandemic in Juiz de Fora – MG

This paper presents the results of a research on peripheral cultural militancy, from the formation of strategies of struggle mobilized by the Coletivo Vozes da Rua in confronting the pandemic of Covid-19 in the city of Juiz de Fora-MG. We analyze the coalition formed by Coletivo Vozes da Rua and the social movements Levante Popular da Juventude and Movimentos dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem-Terra (MST), which formed the campaign "Periferia Viva", a national initiative of solidarity with those who suffered substantial losses during the pandemic. We seek to understand how the process of construction of peripheral subjectivities and solidarity is crossed by cultural practices capable of mobilizing diverse social actors around urgent demands and forming repertoires of struggle that coincide among different social movements.
