Cosmopolitanization and identity constructions at the borders of the nation-state

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to analyze how the processes of globalization of the contemporary world that permeate daily life have repercussions on the construction of individual and collective identities from the phenomena that occur between interstate borders, such as the circulation and control of the flows of people. It realizes a bibliographic review which prioritizes, mainly, some approaches on the emergence of new identity configurations and the intensification of the movement of people between the territorial borders, relating these two issues with the dimension of the laws of immigration control. From an interpretation supported by some cosmopolitan perspectives, it considers this context of transnational space, in which multiple possibilities of identity configuration occur, is marked by a tension between the nationalist perspective of politics, which operates in the legal and institutionalized domain, and the reality of the experiences and conflicts between the various worlds that intersect.

Se realiza una revisión bibliográfica a la que prioriza, principalmente, algunos enfoques acerca de la emergencia de nuevas configuraciones identitarias y de la intensificación del movimiento de personas en el ámbito de las fronteras territoriales, relacionando estas dos cuestiones con la dimensión de las leyes de control inmigratorio. A partir de una interpretación apoyada en algunas perspectivas cosmopolitas, considera que tal contexto del espacio transnacional, en el que ocurren múltiples posibilidades de configuración identitaria, está marcado por una tensión entre la perspectiva nacionalista de la política, la cual actúa en el dominio legal e institucionalizado, y la realidad de las experiencias y conflictos entre los diversos mundos que se intercruzan.O objetivo deste artigo é analisar como os processos de globalização do mundo contemporâneo que perpassam a vida cotidiana repercutem na construção das identidades individuais e coletivas a partir dos fenômenos que ocorrem entre as fronteiras interestatais, como a circulação e o controle dos fluxos de pessoas. Efetua uma revisão bibliográfica a qual prioriza, principalmente, algumas abordagens acerca da emergência de novas configurações identitárias e da intensificação do movimento de pessoas no âmbito das fronteiras territoriais, relacionando estas duas questões com a dimensão das leis de controle imigratório.
