Resumo: | In the present text we analyze the environmental discursive construction by Veja magazine taking Amazon forest as theme. The research indicated that, between 1969 and 2008 tem journalistic texts raised Amazon up into discussion. From the analysis of the texts, the photographs and the cover’s titles, we believe in the possibility of observing Veja’s discourse about the theme. To achieve our goal, we present a contextualization on the contemporary questions on Amazon forest; the environmental journalism and a reading of the chosen texts through the perspective of French Discourse Analysis. |

O presente artigo analisa a construção do discurso ambiental da revista semanal Veja, tendo como recorte o tema Amazônia. O levantamento indicou que, entre os anos de 1969 e 2008, dez textos jornalísticos trouxeram a Amazônia como pauta de discussão. A partir da análise dos referidos, das fotografias e das chamadas de capa sobre o tema, acreditamos ser possível delinear o discurso de Veja. A fim de realizar o objetivo proposto, discorremos sobre informações gerais de questões que envolvem a Amazônia, o jornalismo ambiental, além de aplicarmos noções da Análise do Discurso francesa ao conjunto de textos selecionados.
