Resumo: This study undertakes to reflect on the teaching perspective on the podcast genre as a tool in the teaching of Education for Young, Adult and Elderly People (EJAI). The work was based on contributions from studies of textual genres (Bakhtin, 2000; Schneuwly; Dolz, 2004, 2011; Marcuschi, 2003, 2007; Baerman 2020; Travaglia, 2013; Grané; Willen, 2009; Villarta-Nerder; Ferreira, 2020) and on teacher training in the Education of Young, Adult and Elderly people/EJAI (Ribeiro, 1999; Saviani, 2009; Cortada, 2014). Data were collected during an extension course for teachers working at EJAI, video-recorded and qualitatively analyzed. The study points to the possibilities signaled by the professors in the face of the challenges of using a didactic instrument that enables the development of oral practices in a critical and reflective way, whose views of the professors who participated in our investigation are taken as addressing formative demands and that the scenario revealed in our article is expanded and echoes in future academic research.
