Resumo: | This research aimed at discussing the use of different tools for the selection and evaluation of didactic materials for the teaching of a foreign language (FL). As more specific objectives, we intend to: a) produce the state-of-the-art on tools used for the selection and evaluation of didactic material; b) present the results of some research works developed; c) list the tools used according to the object of analysis in focus as well as illustrate an evaluation used by English teachers involved in PAI-S in Paraná. |

Esta pesquisa procura discutir o uso de diferentes instrumentos para a seleção e avaliação de material didático para o ensino de língua estrangeira. Como objetivos mais específicos, pretendemos: a) produzir o estado da arte em instrumentos usados para a seleção e avaliação de material didático; b) apresentar os resultados de alguns trabalhos de pesquisa desenvolvidos; c) listar os instrumentos usados de acordo com o objeto de análise em foco bem como ilustrar a avaliação usada por professores de inglês envolvidos no PAI- S no Paraná.
