Resumo: | This paper analyzes the process of articulation of senses of the Reginaldo Manentes’s photo that built the Brazilian defeat in the World Cup 1982. We start with assumptions that emphasize the context and the “social situation” (GOFFMAN, 1986) in which an image is produced, emphasizing its hybrid character and the construction of a journalistic narrative to try to stabilize the process of signification on an icon. |
