The diary on Piauí's pages: an investigation about the construction of the reports in a journalistic vehicle

This study has the purpose to investigate how diaries are presented on the monthly published magazine Piauí, dedicated to the literary journalism. Two periods of the publication was selected: their first year, between October of 2006 and the same month of 2007, and their fourth year, between 2009 and 2010. This corpus was chosen because we believe that, on this way, it's possible to see the changes between these two periods of the magazine, trying to figure out, also, how these diaries are written. After mapping the themes and how many editions of the diaries has been published, it was observed that, on the first year, the reports has the purpose to show the work's routine of the authors, mostly anonymous, while the fourth year is dedicated to presenting only memorable events in which the authors of the reports became involved. We believe that this change on the diary's theme is related to the purpose of the magazine to increase the range of subjects in order to draw the attention of readers.
