Linguistic Variation in the Textbook of the 1st year of New High School: from the perspective of the BNCC

Resumo: In this study, we present a look at the teaching of the Portuguese language(PL) in the assumptions of Sociolinguistics. To this end, our research involves an analysis of the contents proposed in the textbook of the 1st year of the new high school, in order to provoke reflections around their consonance with the guidelines emphasized in curricular regulation documents, such as the Common National Base Curriculum (BNCC). The choice for material from the first cycle of this stage of basic education justifies the beginning of the new secondary education in the current year (2022), with the intention of analyzing whether there was an expansion of the approach to the topics of linguistic variation presented in thetwo collections selected. Thus, its theoretical contribution relies on the voices of scholarssuch as Labov (2008), Mollica (2004), Bagno (2013), among others. In methodological terms, the work comprises a qualitative approach of the documentary type. The results point to sections of the textbook with theoretical contents, which are still limited, as well as the scarce development of the questions posed as activities.

Para tanto, a nossa pesquisa envolve uma análise sobre os conteúdos propostos no livro didático do 1º ano do Novo Ensino Médio, de modo a suscitar reflexões em torno da consonância destes com as orientações enfatizadas em documentos de regulação curricular, a exemplo da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC). A escolha pelo material do primeiro ciclo dessa etapa da educação básica tem como justificativa o início da vigência do Novo Ensino Médio no corrente ano (2022), com a intenção de analisar se houve uma ampliação da abordagem sobre os tópicos de variação linguística apresentados nas duas coleções selecionadas. Desse modo, o aporte teórico desse conta com vozes de estudiosos como: Labov (2008), Mollica (2004), Bagno (2013), entre outros. Em termos metodológicos, o trabalho compreende uma abordagem qualitativa do tipo documental.
