Resumo: The present work addresses issues related to some imagery aspects that compose the visual narrative of Dom Casmurro clipbook, an adaptation of the homonymous novel by the Brazilian writer Machado de Assis. Based on studies of Peirce's semiotics, and especially on studies of Santaella (2001 and 2005), we intend to investigate the language patterns (sound, visual and verbal), which in connectivity comprise the investigated object. This hybrid state of expression confirms, as proposed by Santaella (2005), that "languages are constantly growing and changing," especially nowadays, potentiated by information and communication technologies as well as by the Internet (hypermedia).
