Resumo: This paper adresses the social sustainability of commercial-labor practices involved in the production and distribution of electronic games and their possible legal problems. The problem is: are there possible legal problems arising from crunchtime, microtransactions and related practices in videogames? And what are their consequences? The objective of the research was to investigate the legal problems generated by common practices in the video game industry, and it was divided into three items, trying to contextualize, investigate, and problematize these practices. The deductive method was chosen as our methodology, and the research technique of indirect documentation, with bibliographic emphasis, and as a result it was found that there are problems in consumerism, while this problem is reinforced by labor practices of the video game industry.
