Resumo: The objective of this study is to analyze the production process of the urban spaces planned by the Belo Monte project, verifying its implications in the urban (re) structuring and in the sociospatial development of the city of Altamira. The research was carried out in four phases: in the first phase a theoretical adjustment, in the second one, a documentary survey was carried out on the city of Altamira; in the third stage, the application of forms with sixty families was carried out in order to verify how present these spaces of resettlement with regard to socio-spatial development, in the fourth moment the systematization and the analysis of the raised material were done. In this sense it was possible to verify that the city's legislation and form of growth were changed for the creation of collective urban resettlements and how families are adapting in these new spaces.

La investigación se realizó en cuatro fases: en la primera fase una investigación teórica, en la segunda fue realizado un levantamiento documental sobre la ciudad de Altamira, en la tercera etapa se realizó la aplicación de formularios con sesenta familias con el objetivo de verificar como se presentan esos espacios de reasentamiento en lo que se refiere al desarrollo socio-espacial, en el cuarto momento se hizo la sistematización y el análisis del material levantado. En ese sentido fue posible verificar que la legislación de la ciudad y la forma de crecimiento fueron alteradas para la creación de los reasentamientos urbanos colectivos y como las familias se están adaptando en esos nuevos espacios.O objetivo deste estudo é analisar o processo de produção dos espaços urbanos planejados pelo empreendimento Belo Monte, verificando suas implicações na (re)estruturação urbana e no desenvolvimento sócioespacial da cidade de Altamira. A pesquisa foi realizada em quatro fases: na primeira fase um ajustamento teórico, na segunda buscou-se realizar um levantamento documental sobre a cidade de Altamira, na terceira etapa realizou-se a aplicação de formulários com 60 famílias com objetivo de verificar como se apresentam esses espaços de reassentamento no que se refere ao desenvolvimento sócioespacial, e no quarto momento foi feito a sistematização e a análise do material levantado.
